# 📝 Enable Persistent Logging in Debian

By default, **ggRock** does **not** configure your Debian server to keep logs between reboots. This means important logs may be lost after a restart—which can make troubleshooting much harder if something goes wrong.

### 🔧 Set Up Persistent Logging

To ensure your logs survive reboots and shutdowns, run the following commands in your terminal:

```
sed -i 's/#Storage.*/Storage=persistent/' /etc/systemd/journald.conf
systemctl restart systemd-journald.service
```
> 🖥️ **Tip:** You can also apply these changes using the **Debian Control Panel**, which is often more convenient if you're already logged in there.
