🎮 Game Launcher Account Creation Guide for LAN Centers

⚠️ Disclaimer

Free-to-play games are discouraged by some game publishers in commercial settings. Use house accounts for these titles at your own risk.

✅ Step 1: Plan Your Game Account Needs

  • Make a list of all games you plan to offer.
  • Take note of how many copies of each game you intend to be able to run simultaneously.

📧 Step 2: Create Unique Email Addresses

You’ll need a unique email address per account per game.

Options:

  • Gmail "Plus Trick"

  • Base email: yourcenter@gmail.com
  • Use variations: yourcenter+steam01@gmail.com, yourcenter+epic02@gmail.com, etc.
  • All emails go to one inbox.
  • Microsoft Exchange (Business)

  • Use email aliases (up to 400 per mailbox):

steam01@yourdomain.com, steam02@yourdomain.com, etc.

  • May only allow up to 10 aliases – not ideal for large setups.

🧠 Step 3: Document Everything

  • Use a spreadsheet or password manager to store:

  • Email addresses
  • Passwords
  • Launcher name
  • Game title(s)
  • Purchase method (gift card, gifted, direct card)
  • Notes (e.g., 2FA disabled, Steam Guard off)

🎯 Step 4: Create Game Launcher Accounts

For each launcher (e.g., Steam, Epic Games, Battle.net, Riot, etc.):

  1. Register an account using one of your unique email addresses.
  2. Set a secure password (consider a pattern for simplicity).
  3. Log in once from your LAN center.
  4. Disable security features like Steam Guard, if needed for auto-login.

  • Steam: Login → Wait for Steam Guard → Choose “Remember this device”
  1. Record account info in your tracking sheet or password tool.

💸 Step 5: Fund the Accounts for Paid Titles

Options:

  • Gift Cards: Purchase Steam/Epic/Battle.net cards and redeem on each account.
  • Gifting Games: Use a main account to gift the game to the other accounts.
  • ⚠️ Credit Cards: Only if absolutely necessary. Remove the card immediately after purchase to avoid misuse.

🎁 Step 6: Acquire the Game Licenses

  • Log into each launcher.
  • For each game:

  • Free-to-play: Add to library/account to "own" it.
  • Paid titles: Purchase/redeem/gift as needed.
  • Verify game is in the library and can be launched.

🔄 Step 7: Test Autologin + Game Launch

  • Test auto-login for each launcher using the saved credentials.
  • Some launchers may not support deep linking (e.g., Battle.net).

  • In these cases, launchers must be signed in before starting the game.

🧹 Step 8: Maintain House Accounts

  • Log in periodically to each account to:

  • Remove junk friends
  • Clear notifications
  • Remove/reset characters.
  • Renew expired logins or session tokens
