How to Configure Auto Logon for ggLeap

🔍 Step 1: Find the Logged-On Username


  1. Open Command Prompt:


  • Press Win + R, type cmd, and hit Enter.
  1. Get the Username:


  • In the Command Prompt window, type:


     echo %username%


This will output the currently logged-in user's username.



🔐 Step 2: Change the Password for the User


  1. Open the Local Users and Groups Manager:


  • Press Win + R, type lusrmgr.msc, and hit Enter.
  1. Navigate to the User Account:


  • In the left pane, click Users.
  • In the right pane, find the username you got from Step 1.
  1. Change the Password:


  • Right-click the username, then select Set Password…
  • Click Proceed, enter the new password, confirm it, and click OK.



🔁 Step 3: Set Up Automatic Login with Sysinternals Autologon


  1. Download Autologon:


  • Go to the official Microsoft Sysinternals site:

https://learn.microsoft.com/sysinternals/downloads/autologon

  1. Extract and Run:


  • Extract the downloaded ZIP.
  • Right-click Autologon.exe and choose Run as Administrator.
  1. Configure Autologon:


  • The tool should automatically detect the username and domain.
  • If not, manually enter:


    • Username: (from Step 1)
    • Domain: Leave the domain field blank.
    • Password: Enter the new password you set in Step 2.
  1. Enable Autologon:


  • Click Enable.
  • You should see a confirmation message that autologon is configured.



✅ Done!


From now on, Windows will log in automatically using that username and password at boot.
