# How to Setup Wake-on-Lan (WoL)

This guide will show you how to enable Wake-on-LAN (WoL) on your computer, allowing you to remotely power it on over your network.

---

✅ **Prerequisite:**
 💻 A computer that supports WoL (check your computer's or motherboard's documentation 📖)

---

## 🖥️ Wake-on-LAN (WoL) Setup by Manufacturer

---

### 🖥️ Alienware Systems

1. **Enter BIOS**: Press `F2` during boot.
2. **Navigate to**: `Power Management`.
3. **Set**:

* `Deep Sleep Control` → `Disabled`.
* `Wake on LAN` → `Enabled`.
4. **Save and Exit**: Apply changes and exit BIOS.

*Note*: Some Alienware models may not support WoL. If the option is unavailable, consult the system's manual or support resources.

---

### 🔧 ASRock Motherboards

1. **Enter BIOS**: Press `Del` or `F2` during boot.
2. **Navigate to**: `Advanced` > `ACPI Configuration`.
3. **Set**:

* `PCIE Devices Power On` → `Enabled`.
4. **Save and Exit**: Press `F10`, confirm changes.

*Note*: Enabling `PCIE Devices Power On` allows the system to be powered on via network activity through the PCI-E interface.
