🖥️ How to Update the ggLeap Client Version Remotely

This article describes the process for remotely updating the ggLeap client across all client PCs in your center. Updates can be applied automatically and even while users are logged in—changes will take effect after logout.

🗂️ For PCs with Local Drives

Updating these systems is straightforward and does not interrupt active user sessions. The update will apply after the user logs out.

✅ Bulk Update via Web Admin

  1. Go to Settings > Client Configuration > Version in the ggLeap web admin.
  2. Select the PCs you want to update, or click Select all.
  3. Click Change Version.

  1. In the pop-out window, select the desired version type and click Apply.

  1. Restart or boot the selected PCs to begin the update.

🖱️ Update via Dashboard

🔹 To Update a Single PC:

  1. Find the PC you want to update.
  2. Click the three dots icon on the right and go to

Settings > Change client version.

  1. In the pop-out menu, select the version and click Apply.

🔸 To Update Multiple PCs:

  1. Select the PCs you want to update, or click the checkbox in the top-left of the PC list to select all.

  1. A menu will appear at the top—go to

More Actions > Change client version.

  1. Choose the version and click Apply.

🧠 For PXE (Diskless) Environments

In diskless setups, updates must be applied using a "super client". Follow these steps carefully:

  1. In your PXE client PC manager, select a PC to act as the super client or “keep writebacks”.
  2. In the web admin, go to Settings > Client Configuration > Version.
  3. Update the super client or “keep writebacks” PC to the desired version.
  4. Restart the PC and wait for the update to complete.
  5. Confirm the client version and ensure it works as expected.
  6. Power off the super client and save the image using your PXE client manager.
  7. Return to the web admin and update the remaining PCs.
