Instructions

In order to install and set up ggRock we would need to complete following steps:

πŸ”Ή Step 1: Download the Latest Debian ISO

  1. Go to the official Debian download page:

πŸ‘‰ https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/archive/12.11.0/amd64/iso-cd/

  1. Look for the section at the bottom.

You should see something like:

This is Debian 12, codenamed bookworm, netinst, for 64-bit PC (amd64)

debian-12.11.0-amd64-netinst.iso

  1. Click the .iso filename to begin the download:

  • Example: debian-12.11.0-amd64-netinst.iso
  1. (Optional but recommended) You can also download the SHA512SUMS and Signature files to verify the integrity and authenticity of the ISO.

The β€œnetinst” image is a minimal installer that fetches most packages from the internet during setup β€” perfect if you have a good network connection.

πŸ”Ή Step 2: Download Rufus (Windows only)

  1. Go to the Rufus official site:

πŸ‘‰ https://rufus.ie/en/

  1. Scroll to the Download section.
  2. Click the latest version under "Download" (e.g., Rufus 4.4 or whichever version is current).
  3. Save the .exe file to your computer.

Rufus is portable β€” no installation required. Just double-click the .exe file to launch it.
