Managing Player Profiles for Tournaments in ggLeap

For players to register for tournaments and showcase their results, Player Profiles are available for ggLeap Tournament Hub!

Signing up

For centers who have enabled the Tournaments add-on, players can sign in with their ggLeap account at:

https://players.ggcircuit.tourneybit.com/sign-up.

Sign up steps

  1. Enter the Players Web Portal URL of your center
  2. Press the “Continue with ggCircuit” button
  3. Log in to ggLeap and grant consent to share your profile information
  4. Your ggLeap profile information will be used to create your Player Profile
  5. You will be redirected back to your newly created Player Profile

Logging in to ggLeap



The center UUID can also be entered into the center URL field even if it doesn’t correspond to the Players Web Portal URL.



The center is required to have the Tournaments add-on enabled for players to sign up. Otherwise, the player will receive an “Add-on not enabled” error message.


Signing in

Players who have previously signed up can sign in. Signing in works similar to signing up. Players can sign in at https://players.ggcircuit.tourneybit.com/sign-in.

  1. Enter either your account email address or username to sign in
  2. You will either be redirected to
  3. ggLeap to log in there to complete the sign-in process
  4. Your Player Profile if you are already signed into ggLeap
  5. Regardless, you will be redirected to your Player Profile at the end

In rare cases, you may be prompted to enter a sign-in code sent to your email to sign in.


Your profile

Your profile is a public place where you can display in-game IDs, team affiliations, and accounts in other services like Discord and Steam. Your tournament results will also be displayed on your profile if you use it for tournament registration.

Profile URL

Your profile url is https://players.ggcircuit.tourneybit.com/@{username}.

Customizing your profile

You can customize items in your profile like your display name, tagline, in-game IDs, teams, and external accounts.

Press the “Edit profile” button and use the form to make any changes. Press “Save” when you have made your changes or “Cancel” to retain your previous info.

  • To add an in-game ID or team affiliation, press the Add button in the section
    • + Add In-Game ID
    • + Add Team Affiliation
  • To remove an in-game ID or team affiliation, press the trash can button in the corner of the item. The button icon will transform into a trash can with an X on it. Press the button again to confirm the removal.

Linking Discord, Steam, or FACEIT accounts

  1. Click the “Link {Service} Account”
  2. If external account linking is supported (e.g. for Discord, FACEIT)
  3. Follow the authorization flow (OAuth2) in the third-party platform to link your account
  4. If external account linking is not currently supported:
  5. Add your username and optionally your profile URL to display it as a link to your profile

You must be signed in to customize your profile. You can determine if you are signed in by checking the top-right corner.


Teams

When you create a team affiliation in your profile, it automatically creates a Team profile for that team. You can invite team members to this Team to register for tournaments and display tournament results for your team.

You can invite teammates via the “Invite Teammate” button.

You can either send them an invitation email or copy a link to share with them directly.

After a teammate accepts the invite, they will be added to your team.

Registering for tournaments

When navigating to a tournament sign-up link via a QR code or the link itself, you will be prompted to sign in to your profile with ggLeap to register for the tournament if you are not already signed in.

You will be asked whether or this tournament is run by your gaming center. If you are unsure, select “No”.

You can register for tournaments outside of your immediate gaming center with your Player Profile.


After you sign in (or if you are already signed in), you will see a Register button for you as an individual or Register buttons for your current team affiliations for team events. Press the register button to register you or the team. For a team event, you can also add a new team from the register screen.

Tournament results will be posted publicly to your profile after the tournament is complete.
